## Description

Contract rates usually lag spot market moves by several months. If Q3 2026 dry van contract pricing runs above Q3 2025, it would suggest the recovery has moved beyond the transactional spot market and into the contract book that fleets and shippers use for planning.

## Resolution criteria

Resolves YES if the DAT national average dry van contract rate for Q3 2026, all-in and including fuel surcharge, is higher than the Q3 2025 average. Calculate each quarter as the average of July, August, and September monthly averages. Resolves NO otherwise. Source: DAT quarterly or monthly rate reports.
